Service Corps of Retired Executives Pasco-Hernando Chapter 439 will present a free small-business seminar, "Using the Internet in Your Marketing Plans," from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Hudson Regional Library, 8012 Library Road, Hudson.

Mike Kouremetis, a SCORE counselor, will present the seminar. Learn the eight-step process of key activities to quickly fit a Web site into almost any business operation: site content, Web site design, server/hosting options, security, online payments, e-marketing, testing and maintenance.

The seminar will define what e-business is and why to get online, as well as common terms and their practical meaning.

The Economic Restructuring Team of Greater New Port Richey Main Street, in partnership with New Port Richey's Redevelopment Department, will host a small business seminar at 8 a.m. Wednesday in City Hall's council chambers, 5919 Main St., New Port Richey.

The guest speaker will be Jerry Karp, certified business counselor with the Small Business Development Center. Karp is a former chief executive officer and executive vice president of sales and marketing. For 13 years he owned a business that specialized in selling business to business. When it sold to a large corporation, he remained at the company for seven years as manager.

The event is free and open to the public. A light continental breakfast will be served.

George Motran, a SCORE counselor, will address how to deal with the continual changes confronting small businesses in today's business climate.

The event, sponsored by the Hugh Embry Library, will cover how to determine the goals of your business and how to achieve them, improving your cash in the bank by analyzing your results, updating business plans, accounting information management and more.

The West Pasco Legal Support Association will host its annual Membership Recruitment meeting at 5:30 p.m. March 15 at the SunTrust Bank Community Room, 6128 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. Attendees are asked to enter through the north door by the YMCA.

Those working in or interested in the field of law are welcome. A meet and greet with opportunities to network will be from 5:30 to 6 p.m. At 6 p.m., attorneys Daniel Rock and Greg Clark will present one hour of Florida Bar-approved legal education regarding "The New Supreme Court Orders on Foreclosures."
