Pasco Regional Medical Center chief promoted to run Bartow hospital

DADE CITY — Phil Minden, who took the reins as CEO of Pasco Regional Medical Center less than two years ago, has been promoted to chief executive officer at Bartow Regional Medical Center.

Health Management Associates, which owns both hospitals, has tapped Shauna McKinnon to serve as interim CEO of the Dade City hospital. McKinnon has been serving as chief operating officer at Spring Hill Regional Hospital, and before that was an associate administrator and interim chief nurse executive at Brooksville Regional Hospital. She earned an MBA with concentration in healthcare administration from Baker College-Michigan campus, and holds a nursing degree from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.

She began serving as interim CEO of the 120-bed Pasco Regional Medical Center on Tuesday.
