TAMPA — Pastries N Chaat, a new restaurant offering Indian street food, opened this week near the University of South Florida.
The restaurant started in Phoenix and now has locations throughout Arizona and Utah. This is the first location in Florida, and there are plans for more restaurants here and in several other states.
Pastries N Chaat brings a diverse culture of Indian street food which is very prominent in North India.
The menu includes a large variety of Biriyani, an entree owners say is beloved by millions.
Also on the menu are vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers, and lunch and house specials.
Family packs are available and come with an appetizer, bread, curry, biriyani, and dessert.
Pastries and specialty and custom cakes are made from scratch and come in flavors widely popular in India. Butterscotch and black forest are just a few of the more than 25 flavors available. Catering is available for groups of any size, and there is also online ordering.
Pastries N Chaat is located at 1181 E Fowler Ave. For more information, call (813) 512-2632 or visit pastriesnchaat.com.
