If you are holding out on buying Powerball tickets, you may want to reconsider. The jackpot is now at $375 million, making it the largest jackpot in the nation.
The jackpot was $337 million for Saturday's drawing, but after no one picked the lucky numbers, the jackpot rose $38 million.
Tickets must be purchased by 10 p.m. Wednesday to be in the running for the next drawing, which will be at 10:59 p.m. that night.
The odds of winning the multi-million dollar jackpot is about one in 292 million, according to the Powerball website.
There are smaller cash prizes of up to $2 million, however, that can be won by matching any of the non-jackpot-winning numbers.
If you buy tickets for this drawing, lottery officials encourage you to sign the back of your ticket and keep it in a safe place.
The Powerball jackpot has rolled 18 times since the April 5 drawing and has generated more than $27.8 million in contributions to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
Jackpot prizes are paid in 30 annual installments or as a one-time, lump-sum payment. Winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize, and 60 days to receive the cash option, which would be an estimated $235.4 million.
