For Tampa residents tired of the bureaucracy around paying tickets, help may be on the way. TIKD, a site seeking to make paying tickets easier for drivers, said Friday that it is launching in Tampa. The app promises a two-minute-or-less experience for paying tickets and "at least 20 percent off their fine amount" when paying tickets through TIKD.
"At TIKD, we want to take some of the sting out of getting a ticket," Chris Riley, TIKD founder and CEO, said in a release. "Tickets happen, that's life. But no one should have to miss work or risk losing his or her job to resolve a traffic ticket."
TIKD's payment plan option, BetterPay, lets drivers pay half of their ticket plus a service charge up front, followed by two more installments over two months. Both are available at https://app.tikd.com.
