Developers to break ground on Citrus Park Crossings office building

TAMPA — Builders will break ground today on a $16 million office complex at Citrus Park Crossings, one of Tampa's first speculative developments in half a decade.

The first part of a long-stalled commercial complex proposed near the Westfield Citrus Park Mall, the three-story building will serve as the headquarters for Invest Financial Corp., a financial advisory firm, and parent company Jackson National Life, an insurance agency.

The 75,000-square-foot building at 12802 Citrus Park Lane, near the corner of Gunn Highway and the Veterans Expressway, is the first for Citrus Park Crossings, developed by Ryan Companies US and Odessa developer Chris Daye.

First discussed in 2008, the complex is slated to include a hotel and storefronts. Developers said the first building will be finished in December.
