TAMPA — Tampa Bay Buccaneers co-chairman Joel Glazer sold his $5.5 million Harbour Island estate last week to brother and co-chairman Bryan Glazer, who lives next door on Renaissance Way, a deed recorded Monday shows.
Joel and his wife, Angela, bought the 8,600-square-foot waterfront home for $5.6 million in 2008, when it came with remote-control drapery, a wine cellar, a dark room and "a room made for wrapping gifts and doing projects."
Bryan Glazer, 49, took out a $4.13 million mortgage last week for the mansion at the Pointe at Harbour Island, an exclusive 10-lot Tampa enclave.
Bryan's 12,800-square-foot home next door was built in 2008 on land he also bought from Joel and Angela, in 2006.
The brothers are both scions of the billionaire Glazer family, which owns the Bucs and England's Manchester United Football Club, one of the world's most valuable soccer franchises.
