Hoping to stoke a fire under not-so-hot housing sales, Realtors have launched a new Apple iPhone application so consumers can access 4 million home listings on the go. Realtor.com will update the portable listing database, which includes more than 20,000 homes around Tampa Bay, every 15 minutes. A touch of the finger brings up reams of information and up to 25 photos for each property. Nine million people actively use the iPhone. Its applications, fingerprint-sized data links known as "apps," are most popular with people under 40 years old, which corresponds to the median age of home buyers.
