Barry Diller has delayed the breakup of his IAC/InterActiveCorp into five pieces until late summer, citing financial market turmoil and a weak first-quarter performance by some of the parts of his empire. That includes St. Petersburg-based HSN, which Diller envisions standing on its own again as a public company. Diller is still talking with Liberty Media Corp., HSN's biggest shareholder, about taking over, but said a deal was "very unlikely." He nixed selling to a private-equity group because he wants top management of each unit to have a chance to chart their own course.
