Texas-based home décor superstore At Home is planning its first outlet in the Tampa Bay area in the Cypress Creek Town Center shopping complex in Pasco County.
The company boasts of offering consumers an inventory of 50,000 home décor items from furniture and rugs to wall art, housewares and seasonal items.
Preliminary plans filed with Pasco County show At Home occupying a 108,490-square-foot store on Grand Cypress Drive, on the south side of State Road 56 near the southern extension of Wesley Chapel Boulevard. That puts it on the same side of the highway as the Tampa Premium Outlets mall and Costco.
The store would be developed by Guggenheim Development Services of Dallas on land currently owned by the Jacobs Group of Cleveland, one of the early developers of the Cypress Creek Town Center complex that traverses SR 56 just west of Interstate 75. The town center has a Lutz address, but stores there routinely market themselves as being in Wesley Chapel.
A conceptual site plan filed with the county shows the At Home store and 485 parking spaces on nearly nine acres, abutting a separate unnamed retail store and parking lot on more than six acres.
At Home calls itself one of the fastest-growing retailers in America, opening 80 stores over the past four years and 21 new stores since the company went public a year ago. It operates 136 stores in 33 states including two in the Orlando area one in Jacksonville and has plans to open 25 new stores in 2018.
