Beall's Inc. has hired a former leader of the Christopher & Banks women's apparel chain as the next president of its Bradenton-based department store unit.
Lorna Nagler, 53, replaces Lana Cain Krauter, who left the moderately priced chain of 80 department stores in October after a two-year run. Nagler most recently was top executive of the Minneapolis-based, 788-store Christopher & Banks and previously was president of Lane Bryant and Catherine's.
Meanwhile, Krauter, 57, on Monday was named president of Sears Apparel, overseeing the retail giant's flagging apparel business in 3,900 Sears and Kmart stores and online. She will work out of San Francisco.
