The Container Store raised $20,000 for the Junior League of Tampa as part of last weekend's grand opening events. The retailer had pledged to donate 10 percent of the weekend's sales to the charity, a volunteer group that helps area children and families. The store opened Saturday at 4720 W Spruce St. in Tampa, across from International Plaza. It was the first in the Tampa Bay area, third in Florida and 59th for the Dallas-based chain. Other Florida stores are opening in Orlando (April 27) and Boca Raton (June 15).
