Dirk Montgomery steps down as Bloomin' Brands VP, chief value chain officer

TAMPA — Dirk Montgomery has resigned as executive vice president and chief value chain officer of Bloomin' Brands Inc., the publicly traded parent company of Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Roy's. Montgomery took over productivity and efficiency initiatives in May 2010 when David Deno, a former Best Buy executive, replaced Montgomery as Bloomin' Brands' chief financial officer.

Montgomery will become executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ascena Retail Group, an apparel retailer for women and tween girls that includes Dressbarn, Lane Bryant, Catherines and Justice stores.
