The remnants of Castellano & Pizzo, an Italian grocery store and Tampa institution for more than 120 years, will be auctioned off to the highest bidders today. The market founded in Ybor City went out of business in December, a few years after the Castellano family leased it to private operators. The store is selling all its equipment, including a bakery case, steam table, sandwich press, meat grinder, antique stove and leaded glass lamps. Bay Area Auction Services is handling the auction, which will start at 10 a.m. at the store, 4200 Henderson Blvd. Previews start at 8 a.m. Part of the building is available for rent.
