Former HSN CEO Mindy Grossman joins Fanatics board of directors

Mindy Grossman, the former CEO of St. Petersburg-based HSNi and newly appointed CEO of Weight Watchers, has joined the board of directors of a $3 billion online sports retailer.

Grossman is now on the board of Fanatics, a leader in selling licensed sports merchandise online, along with other big names from the retail industry like Hudson's Bay Company CEO Jerry Storch and Expedia President and CEO Dara Khosrowshahi.

Grossman was the CEO of HSN Inc., for more than a decade. She announced last month that she would leave HSN to become the president and CEO of Weight Watchers International. Grossman will begin her new role in July.

Fanatics describes itself as a global sports retail platform that sells professional sports team merchandise through its own website and other online storefronts for major U.S. sports leagues. The company runs the NBA's flagship store in New York City and has operated other retail stores for organizations like Nascar.
