House call: Sprint offers cell phone service in person to Tampa Bay customers

Published July 13, 2015

Sprint, the cell phone service provider, is now offering in-person consultations to customers living in some Tampa Bay neighborhoods for free.

The "Direct 2 You" service is a house call program where Sprint employees come to customers' homes or other convenient locations to meet with customers and help set up new phones, transfer contacts from one phone to another, or any other service that normally would drag customers to a store for help.

"Tampa can be a tough city to get around when you factor in all of the congestion on the roads. Direct 2 You makes life a lot easier for customers by saving them valuable time from being stuck behind the wheel on I-275," said Kevin Gleason, vice president of the southeast region for Sprint, in a statement. "Whether it's at their child's soccer game, their home or office, or a coffee shop, our experts will meet Tampa area consumers where they choose – and at no additional cost. It really does make buying a new phone a unique and stress-free experience."

Customers can schedule an appointment by calling 844-347-2968 or online at https://sprintdirect2you.com. The service is available in Tampa, Clearwater, Largo, Lakeland, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Palmetto and Port Richey. Sprint anticipates to roll out the program in more markets across the country this year.
