Juicy Couture, which is currently pushing a bohemian look in the aesthetic of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, is set to open its first Tampa Bay store late this month in International Plaza.
While the California contemporary women's apparel brand has been sold locally in places like Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue for years, this is an entire store, the chain's seventh in Florida. At International Plaza, it takes over half the space vacated by Ruehl.
Owned by Liz Claiborne Inc., Juicy Couture is aimed at 10- to 26-year-old females and perhaps best known for its velour tracksuits. Some past ad campaign slogans include: "For nice girls who like stuff," "Cupcake Couture," and "My dog is better than your dog."
