Ready for a deal on a set of sheets? Linens 'n Things, the New Jersey housewares chain with seven bay area stores, plans to start liquidation sales as early as Thursday. The country's second-largest housewares retailer filed for bankruptcy protection in May, then failed to find a buyer that would operate the company. The going-out-of-business process should take about 11 weeks, according to Hudson Capital Partners, one of the investment groups buying the company's assets.
