TAMPA — The much-anticipated Oxford Exchange retail and dining center across from the University of Tampa opens at 6:30 a.m. Monday.
The building at 420 W Kennedy Blvd. combines a restaurant, coffee shop, tea house, bookstore, home decor shop and private office suites.
Owner Blake Casper, whose company owns 52 McDonald's restaurants in the area, dreamed up the concept. He wanted to create an iconic destination where future generations could meet for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
It occupies a 100-year-old building that was painstakingly converted into commercial space using specialty marble, wood, brick and brass.
