Publix Super Markets issued a voluntary recall Tuesday of its deli artichoke and spinach dip after officials said it could contain small glass fragments.
The 16-ounce artichoke and spinach dip is sold in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee with a UPC of 000-41415-15961 and a use-by-date of May 16, which is printed on the lid of the container, according to a news release. It can be found in the refrigerated cases of the deli section.
"As part of our commitment to food safety, (the) potentially impacted product has been removed from all store shelves," Publix spokeswoman Maria Brous said in the release. "We were made aware through customer complaints."
People who have purchased the dip can return the product to their local store for a refund.
Customers with questions can call Publix's customer care department at 1-(800)-242-1227. Customers can also contact the U.S. Food and Drug Administration at 1-(888)-723-3366.
