Delhaize Group, the Belgian supermarket giant that owns Sweetbay Supermarket and Food Lion, has agreed to buy the Bi-Lo grocery chain out of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding for $425 million. The 214 stores in Georgia, Tennessee and the Carolinas will be integrated into the Food Lion network.
