Why? In the convertible car seats and harnessed booster seats, the buckle may become stuck in a latched condition so that it cannot be opened by depressing the buckle's release button, making it difficult to remove the child from the restraint.

Why? The driver's airbag module is attached to a spiral cable assembly with electrical connections that could become damaged when the steering wheel is turned. If this occurs, the air bag warning lamp will illuminate. In addition, the driver's air bag could become deactivated, causing it to not deploy in a crash.

What models? 2006-2008 RAV4, 2006-2010 Yaris, 2008-2010 Highlander, and 2009-2010 Tacoma, Corolla, Corolla Matrix and Pontiac Vibe vehicles.

Why? Yellow sac spiders are attracted to the hydrocarbons in gasoline and can find its way into a fuel tank hose. There, it may weave a web that blocks airflow, causing the fuel tank to crack and possibly leading to a fire.

  4. 'Garbage juice' seen as threat to drinking water in Florida Panhandle county


    To Waste Management, the nation's largest handler of garbage, the liquid that winds up at the bottom of a landfill is called "leachate," and it can safely be disposed of in a well that's 4,200 feet deep.
