The U.S. Small Business Administration and Florida's Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program can provide loans and other assistance to businesses damaged by Tropical Storm Debby.
The emergency bridge loan program provides short-term loans to help bridge the gap between the time damage is incurred and when a business secures other financial resources.
Owners of small businesses with two to 100 employees in counties impacted by Debby may apply for short-term loans for $1,000 to $25,000 from Thursday to Aug. 15. To complete an application, or for information, go to floridadisaster loan.org.
The SBA also has programs to assist Pinellas County businesses with recovery. For information, contact SBA's Disaster Assistance Customer Service Center, toll-free at 1-800-659-2955, email disastercustomer [email protected], or go to sba.gov.
The Small Business Development Center at Pinellas County Economic Development can help find and apply for assistance. Call Cynthia Johnson at (727) 464-7445, or email her at [email protected] County.org.
