Coke bottler to expand into South Florida

Tampa-based soda bottler Coca-Cola Beverages Florida said it plans to grow its territory into South Florida, just months after it was founded this year.

The company was founded in May after it bought distribution rights in Central Florida from Coca-Cola. In October, it announced plans to expand into North Florida.

The bottler expects to close on deals to buy distribution rights in South Florida in 2017 and in North Florida next year. Terms of the deals weren't disclosed.

The company says the string of deals will make it the largest Coke bottler in Florida, with distribution rights covering most of the state.
