A new morning TV show — 10 News Sunday Morning With the Tampa Bay Times — debuts Sunday at 8:30 a.m. in a collaboration between the Tampa Bay Times and WTSP-Ch. 10. The 30-minute show will feature Times journalists and personalities during the weekly program.

"Our weekly segment in the show will bring lively stories and our first-rate journalism to a television audience," said Neil Brown, Times editor and vice president. "We're excited to work with the talented news team at Channel 10."

The program will air just before the popular CBS Sunday Morning and will take an in-depth look at local news stories and will have an extensive weather forecast.

"Our show is about taking the time to look in-depth at local stories," said Elliott Wiser, WTSP president and general manager. "There is no better partner than the No. 1 newspaper in Florida."

On this Sunday's show, Times staff writer Andrew Meacham will discuss the story he has written about his search for his childhood best friend, a brilliant man who was a paranoid schizophrenic and went missing 15 years ago.

In addition to collaborating on the Sunday morning show, the Times Florida's largest newspaper — and WTSP-Ch. 10 have entered into a partnership to share news and video content as well as weather information. On March 8, Channel 10 becomes the Times' official local weather forecast provider.

The Times' previous news and weather partnership with Bay News 9, in effect since 2006, is expiring.
