The Tampa Bay Times will be the exclusive print media sponsor of this year's Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend, in its 39th year.
More than 30,000 people are expected to participate in the running events and health expo, which will be held the weekend of Feb. 19-21.
"The Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic is more than just a race. It has become a destination for fitness and fun, especially with the great Tampa Bay location, a waterfront race course and wonderful weather," Bruce Faulmann, Times vice president of sales and marketing, said in a statement. "We are confident that the Times brand can help power this event even further than it already has come."
