Yeah! We're No. 41! That's where Forbes ranked the Tampa-St. Petersburg area in its annual list of best cities for business and careers. Though the Southeast region did well in the 200-metro area ranking, with Raleigh, N.C. winning the top place for the second year in a row, Florida cities lagged. Among those that did better than the Tampa Bay area were Naples (No. 22) and Gainesville (No. 24). Criteria for Forbes' ranking included job and income growth; business and living costs; work force education; migration trends and quality of life issues.
