Revolution Capital Group, the owner of the Tampa Tribune, announced Friday that it had acquired Tvilum ApS, a European company that makes ready-to-assemble furniture.
Tvilum, a subsidiary of Masco Corp., has factories in Denmark that produce 8 million items of furniture a year. The company employs about 1,000 people.
"This is a truly global business that fits well with Revolution's strategy to expand our portfolio into Europe. It affirms our commitment to acquire outstanding businesses and drive growth in international markets," Robert Loring, founder and managing partner of Revolution Capital Group, said in a statement.
Financial terms were not released.
Los Angeles-based Revolution Capital Group acquired the Tribune last year.
