Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. is the latest to raise the fee, announcing on Tuesday a $3 increase to $8 per passenger per day for the first two customers in a cabin, up to $112 per person. Each additional occupant will pay $3 per day, up to $42.
The higher fee begins for bookings made May 1 on three brands: Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises. The move follows fee increases announced this month by Carnival Corp. (from $5 to $7 daily per passenger) and Norwegian Cruise Line (from $7 to $9 daily per passenger).
