Cruise lines shuffle ships at Tampa port

Nine months before launching its first Tampa-based ship this fall, Norwegian Cruise Line announced plans this month to replace the Norwegian Star with a newer sister ship in 2012. The Norwegian Dawn will make Tampa its winter home port in November 2012 for seven-day cruises to Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras; Belize City, Belize; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. The move was just the latest cruise ship change locally. Carnival Cruise Lines will swap the Carnival Inspiration for the Carnival Paradise in December. Royal Caribbean will replace the Radiance of the Seas with the Jewel of the Seas in November.
