For the first time, Walt Disney World is extending its FastPass system to parents eager to avoid big crowds at Mickey Mouse and Disney Princess meet-and-greet experiences in their new home in the Magic Kingdom park. Limited until now to rides that attract huge lines, FastPass provides any park visitor a ticket to return within a one-hour window later the same day for a much shorter wait. Once implemented this spring, the added service becomes part of Disney costumed characters move out of Toontown and out of the way of crews building a Fantasyland addition that opens in 2013. The new meet-and-greet attraction that opens this spring is by the park front gate in Main Street Town Square.
