Florida ranks second in domestic travel popularity

Florida ranks as the second most popular domestic destination — if money weren't an issue — according to a personal finance blog TheCashlorette.com. Hawaii comes in first with California, Alaska and Colorado following Florida.

Florida was the number one pick by Republicans, and second for millennials, who selected California as its go-to location. Solo travel is a big draw for millennials with 58 percent responders saying that would do it and 26 percent who already have traveled alone. Fewer American adults (47 percent) are interested in solo travel with 28 percent who have already done so.

The survey also found the top international destinations include Italy, Australia, France, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
