Renaissance Vinoy Resort shows off some serious bling this week

The Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg is showing off some serious bling this week. Some 150 visitors at a St. Anthony's Hospital luncheon got the first public viewing Thursday of the 9-foot-tall glass chandelier, designed by Dale Chihuly, in the resort's grand ballroom. The official unveiling takes place at an All Children's Hospital fundraiser Oct. 28. Across the lobby, Ami Fine Jewelry will open today in space that was previously the resort's gift shop. The jeweler's collection includes custom-made watches, charms and leather goods with the resort's logo. Ami also has retail locations in Reno; Park City, Utah; Hanover, N.J.; and Squaw Valley Ski Resort in Olympic Valley, Calif.
