A local Web entrepreneur is selling hotel rooms online for fans coming to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa — without mentioning the event's name. The home page of Russell Bruno's site, TampaBayBowlRooms.com, has a photo of Raymond James Stadium and the Tampa skyline. His press release says that the site is aimed at "those planning to attend the big football championship on Feb. 1, 2009, in Tampa.'' The business isn't affiliated with the Super Bowl, and Bruno says he's being careful not to infringe on the coveted trademark of the NFL's premier event. "We're smarter than that,'' he says. Nightly rates range from $298 at a Busch Boulevard Comfort Inn to $2,499 at the Embassy Suites in the West Shore area.
