Winners named at chamber's 'Taste of Brandon' event

More than 140 exhibitors and 25 restaurants and caterers participated in the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce's Brandon Business Expo & "Taste of Brandon" on Thursday at the Florida State Fairgrounds' Special Exhibit Center. The annual event drew hundreds, and the attendees chose winners in three categories. Cheddar's Casual Cafe, serving a variety of dishes, earned Taste of Brandon honors, edging out runnerup Copper Bell Cafe. Jaymer-Q Southern BBQ took top honors in the Best Dessert category with homemade bread pudding and caramel, beating out runnerup Mimi's Cafe. Amazingly Creative Events took top honors in the Best Booth competition, edging runnerup Tampa Bay Times. Times staff
