Brian Hudson has been named senior vice president of sales and marketing for Avant Healthcare Professionals in St. Petersburg. Hudson comes to Avant Healthcare from Anthelio Healthcare, Clearwater, where he served as vice president of sales and solutions. Hudson currently serves as the Florida membership chairman for Healthcare Financial Management Association and has served on the board of the West Florida chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Hospitality

McKibbon Hospitality, Tampa, announces the following appointments. Randy Kuiken has been named general manager for its Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Westshore; Tom O'Neil will be opening general manager for Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa Westshore; Denise Kauble will be market director of sales for McKibbon's Tampa Westshore properties, which include the Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Homewood Suites, Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites. Kuiken is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in hospitality. He has held general manager positions at properties in Florida and Georgia with TownePlace Suites by Marriott, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and Residence Inn by Marriot. O'Neil has been in the hospitality industry for more than 25 years. He joined McKibbon in 2005 as the general manager for SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Knoxville, Tenn., and held that position for 16 years. Kauble joins McKibbon Hospitality from Interstate Hotels and Resorts, where she previously served as the area general manager and was responsible for the total operation of two brands – Homewood Suites and Residence Inn by Marriott. She has more than 16 years committed to the hospitality and service hotels industry, and has held leadership roles throughout her career.

Legal

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, Tampa, announces the addition of Christina E. Blood and Diana N. Evans to the firm. Blood and Evans join the firm as associates and part of the litigation practice group. Blood focuses her practice on defending manufacturers and companies in product liability actions and complex litigation in state and federal courts. She also handles contract and employment law matters. She has represented banking and financial institution clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters and has defended private and public entities in discrimination and wrongful termination disputes. Blood earned her bachelor's of arts and juris doctorate degrees, both cum laude from the University of Florida. Evans focuses her practice on general litigation matters. Prior to joining Bradley, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable James S. Moody Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Evans earned her bachelor's of science degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida and juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law.

FordHarrison LLP, Tampa, announces the addition of Ashley Ward-Singleton and Viktoryia Johnson as associates. Ward-Singleton focuses her practice with employers on matters ranging from day-to-day counseling to litigation. Prior to joining FordHarrison, she served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Carol Mirando in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and has previous experience in private law practice. Johnson concentrates her practice on the representation of clients in labor and employment law matters. While in law school, she gained extensive hands-on legal experience through several clerkships and internships, both in private practice and in the judicial system. Johnson is a part of FordHarrison's Year One Associate Development Program, a 15-month program of on-the-job training through mentoring, hands-on work assignments, and direct observation of legal matters.

Nonprofit

Michael "Mike" Isaacson has been named executive director for the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas Inc. (AAAPP), taking effect Oct. 1. Isaacson brings 20 years experience in the nonprofit management field, most recently serving as chief executive officer of Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging, a position he's held since 2011. He earned his bachelor's degree in social work and earned his master's degree in public policy both from the University of Northern Iowa.

Philanthropy

The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay has elected four new officers and five new members to its Board of Trustees. Officers are: Donna L. Longhouse, chairwoman. Longhouse is a shareholder in the tax, trusts and estate practice group at Allen Dell PA. She has served on the board since 2008. Betty Castor, chairwoman-elect. Castor has served as Florida Commissioner of Education, as president of the University of South Florida and as chief executive officer of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Susanna Grady, secretary. Grady is retired and previously served as vice president of development at WEDU. She also spent more than 20 years with Tampa Preparatory School, including as Head of School. Bob Mohr, treasurer. Mohr is a an attorney in Sun City Center, focusing his practice on wills, trusts and estate law and his involvement with the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay goes back to its founding when he worked with initial supporters to establish the Foundation.
