Commercial real estate

Donald Lombardi has been named director of tax assessment consulting services at Grubb & Ellis Commercial Florida, Tampa. Lombardi was a vice president at CB Richard Ellis and was president of Lombardi Florida Land Consulting, Tampa.

Legal

A. Edward McGinty has been elected to the board of directors of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. McGinty is "of counsel" at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLP, Tampa.

Patrick J. McNamara has been appointed by the Florida Bar to serve on the Continuing Legal Education Committee. McNamara is vice managing shareholder at de la Parte & Gilbert, Tampa.

Peter W. Zinober has been named one of the nation's top 100 employment attorneys for 2009 by Human Resource Executive magazine. Zinober is a shareholder and member of the labor an employment practice at Greenberg Traurig PA, Tampa.

John Edward Alley, Robert D. Hall Jr., Tracey K. Jaensch and Edmund J. Mc­Kenna have been named "Florida Super Lawyers" by Law & Politics magazine. Alley is "of counsel" and Hall, Jaensch and McKenna are partners at Ford & Harrison LLP, a labor and employment law firm in Tampa.

James D. Thaler Jr. has been elected and installed as president of the St. Petersburg Bar Association. Thaler's practice is the Thaler Law Firm PA in St. Petersburg. The firm practices in the areas of business law, estate planning and real estate.

Organizations

The University of South Florida Alumni Association announces its 2009 Alumni Award recipients. Dr. Lee Kump, Class of '86, received the distinguished alumnus award; Charles Baumann, Class of '71, received the Donald A. Gifford alumni service award; Olin Mott received the Class of '56 award; and Shaun Robinson, Class of '05, received the Outstanding Young Alumnus award. Kump is a professor of Geosciences at Penn State University; Baumann is a corporate accountant at Kerkering, Barberio and Co. PA, Sarasota; Mott is founder/chairman of the board of the board of Olin Mott Tire Co., Tampa; and Robinson is chief executive officer and vice president of Strong College Students Inc., Tampa.
