Banking

Bay Cities Banks, Tampa, announces the addition of David Darnell as vice president, commercial lending officer, Thomas "Tom" Menendez as vice president, Carrollwood market manager, and Kathy Kalal-Vircik as vice president, South Tampa market manager. Also, Jonathan Zunz has been promoted to vice president, commercial lending officer. Darnell was a vice president of commercial real estate lending at American Momentum Bank. Menendez was vice president, officer at the Bank of Tampa. Kalal-Vircik was an assistant store manager at TD Bank. And Zunz was assistant vice president, commercial lending officer.

Accounting

Doyle Wealth Management, St. Petersburg, announce that Cassandra Smalley has been promoted to director of financial planning and portfolio analyst; Amy Powell joins the firm as a portfolio analyst; and Stacy Goodrich is the new administrative assistant and receptionist. In her new position, Smalley will work directly with clients to develop a cohesive strategy to meet their financial goals. Powell brings nearly 10 years of experience to Doyle Wealth Management and has held previous positions with Transamerica Asset Management and Raymond James Financial. Powell earned her bachelor of science degree in business administration/finance from the University of Central Florida. Goodrich has held positions with the IRS and the U.S. Department of State.

Medical sales and distribution

Ken Spence has been named national accounts leader in alternate care at Sempermed, Clearwater. Spence rejoins Sempermed and has 33 years of experience n medical sales and distribution. He spent 101/2 years at Sempermed before serving as the Mid-Atlantic regional manager in infection control prevention.

Spa services

Melissa Ratkovits has been named spa director of Evangeline, which is located inside the 137-room boutique Epicurean Hotel, Tampa. Ratkovits oversees day-to-day operations, including staff management, client appointments, promotions and spa product lines. Before joining Evangeline, Ratkovits served as the spa manager of PierVana Hair-Spa-Jewels in South Burlington, Vt.

Real estate

Franklin Street, Tampa, has named Adam Vosding as general manager for Channelside Bay Plaza. Vosding will oversee all daily management operations, as well as leading business strategies for the plaza. Before joining Franklin Street, Vosding worked for Publix Super Markets Inc. for more than 20 years in various roles throughout the Southeast, including retail operations, purchasing coordinator, property manager and real estate specialist. After working for Publix, Mr. Vosding worked for Lucky's Market in Boulder, Colo., where he served as the lease and licensing specialist. Vosding earned a bachelor's degree in economics and minor in general education from the University of Florida

Pitisci & Associates, Tampa, announces the addition of Brenda Pitisci and Chris Martel, both as senior IT recruiters. Pitisci brings more than 35 years of IT recruiting experience in Tampa and has worked for several large to mid-sized companies. Martel brings more than 30 years of IT recruiting experience and has held several top-level recruiting roles for local Fortune 500 companies.

William Gilmour was named chief financial officer at Aptaris™, a leading provider of enterprise marketing and promotions management solutions. Based in Tampa for Aptaris, Gilmour brings more than 20 years of finance leadership in the software industry. Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer at Saxotech, a Tampa-based software company.
