Workshop offers business tips to beginners at Clearwater's main library

CLEARWATER — Budding entrepreneurs can learn business tips from local experts during a free workshop this month.

Clearwater Business SPARK, a network of partners supporting local small businesses and entrepreneurs with mentoring, access to databases and market research tools, and networking, will host the event on May 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N Osceola Ave.

Guests can also tour the library's multimedia and innovation studios to experience the free programs offered to startups and businesses, including 3-D printers and scanners, design software, audio and video equipment, and more. The workshop will also offer information about ongoing workshops and mentoring opportunities.

The SPARK network includes the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, Florida Small Business Development Center at Pinellas County Economic Development, the city of Clearwater's Economic Development and Housing Department, Clearwater Public Library System, Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency, Prospera, and Florida Business Incubator and Pinellas County SCORE.
