Dairy farmer Dale McClellan, former president of the Hillsborough County Farm Bureau, has been named the 2012 Swisher Sweets/Sunbelt Ag Expo Florida Farmer of the Year.
He runs his business, M&B Products, with his three sons, and his wife, Andrea, who manages the front office.
McClellan owns dairy farms in Citrus and Hillsborough counties. He also owns a state-of-the-art dairy processing and packaging facility, which provides several prisons, hospitals and 19 Florida school districts with more than 150 kinds of fruit juice.
McClellan will now compete against nine other state winners for the Southeastern Farmer of the Year award, which will be announced in the fall.
