A Clearwater 26-year-old remained in critical condition with life-threatening injuries Tuesday after police say he collided with a car on his scooter early Sunday. Gregory Allen Hitchcock of Clearwater was being treated at Bayfront Medical Center, where he was airlifted after the accident. The crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. Police think Hitchcock had been drinking before he tried to pass a 1990 Plymouth on Sunset Point Road, then collided with it as the car turned left.
