This corner, Hulk. That corner, Linda Bollea. Everywhere, lawyers.

CLEARWATER — Anyone who doubts the rich really are different from the rest of us should spend a day or two watching the Hulk Hogan divorce proceedings.

Nine lawyers and two accountants sat Thursday with Terry and Linda Bollea, raking in thousands of dollars an hour and at times speaking at 250 words per minute.

The discussion was all about money — mounds of money far beyond the reach of normal people — and how it should be allocated for the next year.

Take for example the agreement between the two sides to let Linda subsist for the next year on $40,000 a month in temporary alimony payments. That monthly sum is just a hair below the median annual income for Pinellas County households.

The agreement went on to allow Terry, better known as Hulk Hogan, to withdraw $500,000 from the couple's accounts to spend as he sees fit. He can remove $400,000 more to pay legal fees for his son's criminal case.

While people are losing their homes to foreclosure, Linda and Terry Bollea had to find a way to split their mansions, at least temporarily.

So Linda gets the home on Willadel Drive in Belleair, listed by the property appraiser at $7.25-million, and Terry gets the house on Eldorado Avenue in Clearwater Beach, listed at $2.24-million.

And the fleet of cars. Four-dollar-a-gallon-gas notwithstanding, each of the spouses will get to use three vehicles, the agreement said.

Linda will have the use of her Cadillac, her Mercedes and a Corvette that is now in storage.

Terry can use his Dodge, his Mercedes and any car from storage other than the 2001 Rolls-Royce — a car he said he can't even fit inside.

The rest of the fleet will stay in storage.

The biggest item was a $4.2-million Las Vegas condo, on which the couple put an $840,000 down payment in 2005. Linda wanted to close on the condo, but Terry said it didn't make business sense.

On Thursday, Circuit Judge George W. Greer set aside an earlier court order requiring Terry to pony up the rest of the money. That decision saved him at least $3.4-million. Two of his lawyers hugged each other at the news.

"That's a lot of money we could appropriate to more pressing, more urgent matters," Terry Bollea said outside court.

Earlier in the day, an accountant hired by Linda said Terry had funneled $1.5-million of his income into accounts controlled by his friend and business partner, Eric Bischoff. Linda's attorneys accuse Terry of purposely hiding assets. The accountant also mentioned one of Terry's accounts at Morgan Stanley, which holds $5,878,475. At that point, Terry's attorney, Ann Loughridge Kerr, asked the testimony to stop.

So the net worth of the Hulk Hogan family is still unclear.

However big that number is, it will be divided between Terry and Linda when the divorce is eventually settled. A large chunk of the fortune might go to pay for medical treatment for John Graziano, a 23-year-old Marine who was a passenger when their son, Nick Bollea, crashed his car last August.

Nick pleaded no contest in May to a reckless driving charge and is serving an eight-month sentence. A civil suit on Graziano's behalf is working its way through the courts.

At various points throughout the hearing Thursday, Terry Bollea stared into his cupped palms.

On his right wrist, a tattoo of the word awareness reminds him "to be aware of the spirit of Christ in you," he said afterward.

On his left wrist, a tattoo of the word grateful reminds him to stay positive.

"I was living with a huge negative influence," Terry said of his wife. "I didn't know the world was a great place."

Terry Bollea said he and his children pray each night; first for Graziano, then for Linda.

Why Linda, the woman divorcing him?

"When you forgive people, you let them off the hook and you let yourself off the hook," he said.

"God has arranged our family the way he wants it," Terry Bollea added outside court. "I cannot wait for the second half of our life to start."

Those of you who judge will be judged one day!! I think Linda should support herself and quit living off of her soon to be ex-husband! Why should he have to pay for her clothing and partying expenses? She should get a job and support herself.

Its still not too late. Have you gone to retroville? The kids are a part of each of you. Soon you will be sharing your grandkids love. The second half of life is much eaier and gratifying if you stick it out. Your differences will seem petty later.

How sad.
by Rocky Balboa Aug 17, 2008 7:59 PM
Please, Hulkster, allow me to thrash thee once again and take that gold-digging tramp off your hands......
by SB Aug 17, 2008 7:58 PM
My sons grew up(25-30 years ago) worshiping "the hulkster". Now they laugh at him and are thoroughly disgusted by him and think the whole family is a joke.
by jb Aug 17, 2008 7:55 PM
I feel for you,"BROTHER",time heals all,its just another step in life.
by fj Aug 17, 2008 7:27 PM
Hey Pasco Pete ... I don't care if he did have money before they met, She deserves half of it. It's men like you that think they can just marry someone for umpteen years, and leave them pennyless, because they found someone better!! GROW UP!!
by Brat Aug 17, 2008 7:22 PM
Hey Pete. Maybe you have over extended yourself in the way of a mortgage on your studio home. What does that matter to me? Get a better education thus a better job and quit whining. Stop being jealous of those who are successful.Or buy day old bread.
by Karen Aug 17, 2008 7:20 PM
I hate him even mentioning god a atheist would have done better by the Graziano family " By there fruits you will know them"
by tim Aug 17, 2008 7:05 PM
"What's wrong with this Picture?" When the Pulitzer Prize awards for photography come around, please submit yesterday's picture of TV actor Hulk Hogan praying to Jesus for the Judge not to make him buy a 4.2 million dollar Las Vegas penthouse.

Linda is prancing around with her 19 year old boy toy (gee almost statutory rape age!) I guess the $40,000 monthly will help subsidize her relationship with that poor child.

The posts on here are from people with an IQ of 1. A lot of people who have faith believe God has a plan for them, no matter what they do. Dr T, you are a nimrod. Your post is pathetic. Pete, do not blame you problems on celebs with cash.
by Pat Aug 16, 2008 3:18 PM
Everyone seems to think they know what is going on in the heads and hearts of this family because we watch them on TV. Live a day in their shoes, they are hurting just like you would be if the situation was in your lap. I wish them happiness.
by Vic Aug 16, 2008 3:13 PM
So, So sad.You know what I don't get ? Did they take Graziano prisoner ?Did they cuff him and make him get in the car??? He was a legal adult who made a decision, wrong though it may of been...and now the divorse. drama,drama,drama... To much drama...
by DawnRE Aug 16, 2008 3:12 PM
There's a load of greedy lawyers on Court in Clearwater.Maybe they could USE Terry. If the Bollea's are selling homes, recommend to stay away from Pasco/Pinellas Realtors. Especially Weichert Offices who don't abide by contracts & missed out ethics
by Bill Aug 16, 2008 3:09 PM
Linda makes me SICK. You can be assured that if Terry was dating a 19YR OLD he would be getting hammered in the press. I guess its ok for her though.
by Denise Aug 16, 2008 2:58 PM
I personally do not think alimony should be paid. Hulks money bought the cars. And he needs permission to use them? How lame. Linda will miss him when he is gone. She got her way sooooo much with him. She is a spoiled ungrateful woman.
by ellen Aug 16, 2008 2:46 PM
Mr. Hogan is a nice person to bad he got hook up with a bitter woman
by Lenore Aug 15, 2008 4:50 PM
i am no fan of the Bollea family but all of you that are mocking his faith in God are proving yourself rather uncouth.
by Sandra Aug 15, 2008 4:23 PM
Amen, Bill. Amen.
by Shiggy Aug 15, 2008 4:20 PM
Many of you blame Terry Bollea for making a lot of money--that's called jealousy. Many of you do not realize how difficult, and how exhausting, it is to be "on the road" for year after year after year... Many of you relish hurting others--grow up!
by Bill Aug 15, 2008 3:06 PM
I'd respectfully suggest they spend whatever needs to be spent on qualified therapy to discover what is truly important in life.
by Pete Aug 15, 2008 1:56 PM
The amount of money in one family's assets is sickening as I again try to hold off buying that loaf of bread so I can make it until the end of the month and still make my measley mortgage payment on my tiny studio house.Sickening.
by Dr T Aug 15, 2008 12:44 PM
Hey,Hulk, wake up! It's not 1988 anymore. No one wants you on the Tonight Show,SNL,etc. Your egomania is surpassed only by your pomposity. The limelight has long since vanished. When you realize this, maybe you will be better off than you are now.
by Bill Aug 15, 2008 12:22 PM
Get a load of Terry praying in front of the camera. Oh he has been born again RIGHT! All BS to show he is sadden about his divorce. It's only so they can hide the money and their adopted son that Nick almost killed can't get a dime.
by Wally Aug 15, 2008 12:21 PM
I should've became a divorce lawyer...
by Bob Aug 15, 2008 12:16 PM
It's all part of the show folks. Guess what Terry wait till you get the doctor bills from the VA! They can and will charge you for all of their care. Veteran or not your son caused the accident and you will get the bill It's not free.
by James Aug 15, 2008 11:50 AM
I guess this means that Hulk will need to keep wrestling to get more dough. I'm sure we'll see him on the next WWE pay per view -- Geriatric Day! This family is now in poverty. Perhaps us fans can donate to the Hulk Hogan fund?
by Dave Aug 15, 2008 11:50 AM
Wow! That fake wrestling really pays off!!!
by James Aug 15, 2008 11:50 AM
Is this Front Page News St. Pete Times?? This belongs in the Equirer, or some other trash rag. I know myself and a whole lot of others could care less about this whole family, before and after they lived here. We plead giveUS some real FRONT PAGENEWS
by Esq Aug 15, 2008 11:49 AM
Justice will come when they both have to pay up for the damage their minor son did to his friend; that should get their attention. And having to lay out their assets in court for Graziano's atty to see - priceless.
by Tampisco Aug 15, 2008 11:34 AM
Mr. Bollea, God has not "arranged" your family, you have. Don't blame God for the mess you have created. Pilate tried to do the same thing. You are the creator of your own "reality."
by joe Aug 15, 2008 11:34 AM
This story proves that being rich or pretty or strong doesn't mean that you can't be stupid too.
by Anthony Aug 15, 2008 11:11 AM
St. Pete Times, how about some real news? How about some stories exposing waste withing our local and state governments, the financial scams, more on the double/triple dippers, the lottery money waste, anything else that is REAL NEWS, not this stuff.
by jeff Aug 15, 2008 11:11 AM
