CLEARWATER — A New York lender has filed a lawsuit to foreclose on Edward Graziano's 2,400-square-foot Dunedin home.
The suit says Graziano has missed each of his $4,172 monthly payments since May 2008.
Graziano, 54, is the father of John Graziano, who suffered severe brain damage in August 2007 while riding in a car with Nick Bollea. Nick Bollea is the son of wrestling star Hulk Hogan.
Graziano has been at the Pinellas County Jail since February, when he was arrested on a charge of solicitation to commit murder. Authorities allege that Graziano tried to hire a hit man to kill his estranged wife, Debra.
Debra Graziano transferred exclusive ownership of the home to Edward Graziano in May 2005, according to court records.
The lawsuit, filed by Bank of New York in Pinellas County on Nov. 10, seeks $512,065 in principal, interest accrued since May 2008, late charges and court fees.
Court records show that Edward Graziano took out a $479,750 mortgage on the home in February 2007.
The home, at 1225 Curlew Road, has a 2009 market value of $160,897 on county tax rolls. Comparable sales list the value at $281,900.
