TAMPA — The August trial for Stephanie Ragusa, the former Davidsen Middle School teacher accused of having sex with two male students, will be delayed.

Ragusa's attorney, Robert Herce, asked for a continuance today because of issues with discovery materials. Circuit Judge Wayne Timmerman agreed to delay the trial, originally set for Aug. 10. He set a hearing in the case for Sept. 30, when, he said, he would either set a new trial date or the case would be disposed of.

Ragusa is charged with multiple counts of lewd and lascivious battery and unlawful sexual activity with a minor. She is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail.
