TAMPA — Hillsborough Circuit Judge William Fuente has discussed using an out-of-town jury for Dontae Morris' first murder trial. On Monday, attorneys for both the prosecution and defense expressed a preference for keeping the proceeding in Tampa, no matter where a jury is chosen. Morris, accused of killing five people, including two Tampa police officers, is scheduled to be tried in March for the 2010 shooting death of Rodney Jones, 42, outside the Cotton Club in West Tampa. Fuente dismissed one gossipy jury pool in August and suggested finding replacements in Orlando. On Monday, he said other jurisdictions might also fit the bill.
