Bolin, 51, has been convicted and sentenced to death multiple times for the deaths of three women in Hillsborough and Pasco in 1986. He won new trials, but jurors found him guilty each time. He appealed to the Florida Supreme Court, asking the court to throw out his conviction and sentence in Collins' death because of several items presented during his trial, including a suicide note he wrote and videotaped testimony from his late ex-wife. He is on Death Row.
