TAMPA — The jury in the first Dontae Morris murder trial may not come from Orlando after all.
Courtrooms there may be too small to accommodate the pool needed to select a panel impartial to the man accused of five 2010 murders, including those of two Tampa police officers.
Hillsborough Circuit Judge William Fuente made the ruling after an unsuccessful attempt to seat a Hillsborough jury.
Thursday, he told attorneys on both sides he may reconsider the idea and decide to try to select another Hillsborough jury.
He said he would give them his decision by the end of the week.
