Pasco man gets 11 years in prison for having sex with teen

NEW PORT RICHEY — A 33-year-old man was sentenced this week to 11 1/2 years in prison followed by 10 years of sex offender probation for having sex with a girl less than half his age.

Christopher D. Razny, of Port Richey, found a 14-year-old girl on myYearbook.com last year and arranged to meet with her, knowing she was a minor, authorities said. The two had sex in an abandoned home in April. The teen told someone about the encounter, which led to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office investigation.

Razny pleaded guilty on Tuesday to lewd and lascivious battery and traveling to meet a minor. He entered an open plea, leaving the decision on his sentence in the hands of Circuit Judge Michael Andrews.

In addition to his prison and probation terms, Razny will become a registered sex offender.
