Pasco: Man with unusual arsenal jailed on drug charges

CRYSTAL SPRINGS — A 38-year-old Thonotosassa man was spotted Tuesday morning by a deputy on Jerry Road carrying an array of weapons: Samurai sword, switch blade, screw driver bits, pliers and a nunchaku he fashioned himself, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.

But it was the drugs that landed William Leonard Bowman in jail.

The report says Bowman had marijuana and three drug-smoking pipes on him, one of which contained methamphetamine residue.

Bowman, who remains jailed on charges of possession of marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, told the deputy that he made the nunchaku after being arrested for having another pair, the report said.

His bail was set at $5,300.
