TAMPA — A rent collector for the Pinellas County Housing Authority pleaded guilty in federal court Monday to stealing $23,126 while on duty.
Keomala Phandara Khammanivong, 32, altered money orders intended for the Housing Authority and deposited them in her personal bank account, the U.S. Attorney's Office reported.
She could face up to 10 years in prison. A sentencing date has not been set.
She worked at the French Villas public housing complex from 2008 to 2012, a court record states. French Villas is a 185-unit complex along 54th Avenue N in the Lealman area.
